University of Michigan introduces MVN BIOMECH in their Laboratory
19th August 2013
Xsens welcomes the University of Michigan as a new customer.
In their Human Performance Innovation Laboratory they will use the MVN Analyze with The University of Michigan Men’s and Women’s basketball teams. Data from athlete assessments will be used to improve injury screening protocols and guide Strength & Conditioning and Athletic Training staff to optimize athletic-specific conditioning regimens. The MVN Analyze system allows them to perform athlete assessments on court, which provides more realistic data than traditional laboratory evaluations. They expect that this data will provide critical insight into game-specific movements and their associated physical demands. In the future, they also plan to expand on this initiative to examine injury risk and sports performance factors in other elite athletic programs.
